Every year, thousands of Kenyans lose millions in SACCO-related issues that could have been prevented with better information. We provide background checks and transparency scoring to help members make informed decisions.
Members deserve to know key information about their SACCOs:
We believe transparency builds trust and helps members make better decisions.
Greater transparency benefits both members and well-managed SACCOs.
Every SACCO gets scored 0-10 based on financial disclosure, leadership transparency, and public information availability.
Objective scoring based on public information.
All data comes from official sources: SASRA registry, Kenya Law court records, and published financial statements.
Facts from official sources, not rumors or speculation.
Our reports help members make informed choices by providing transparency scores, financial health indicators, and leadership information.
Transparent SACCOs score higher in our system, helping well-managed cooperatives stand out and attract members.
We practice what we preach. Our methodology is public, our scoring is explained, our data sources are cited.
We maintain independence in our scoring. SACCOs cannot pay for better scores. All findings are based solely on public information.
Every score, every red flag, every recommendation is based on official SASRA records, court cases, published financial statements, and confirmed leadership information.
We don't guess. We research.
We hold SACCOs accountable. We hold ourselves accountable. All reports are dated, sources are documented, methodology is transparent.
By 2030, we want to see:
90% of SACCOs publicly disclose financials (Currently 30%)
All SASRA-licensed SACCOs publish leadership names (Currently 40%)
Zero preventable SACCO collapses (Members will have warning signs)
Transparency as competitive advantage (SACCOs compete on openness, not secrecy)
We believe in showing our work. Here's exactly how we calculate transparency scores:
No. We're helping good SACCOs stand out and pushing bad ones to improve. Transparent SACCOs score high. Opaque ones score low. That's fair.
Then they shouldn't be managing member money. SASRA requires audited statements. Publishing them publicly shows confidence and accountability.
Members have a right to transparency. When you manage billions of member savings, accountability > privacy.
We charge members KES 100 per report. That's it. We don't accept SACCO advertising, sell better scores, or charge SACCOs for listing.
Member trust = Our business model
